Bollywood producer Sanjay Gupta has been granted anticipatory bail against a bond of Rs 10,000 by the Bombay High Court today.
Last week, the Mumbai Police had registered a case of cheating and forgery against Mr Gupta who had copied the letterhead of the Mumbai Police Commissioner. This was used on invites sent out for the unveiling of his film Shootout At Wadala.
The Sessions Court had earlier rejected anticipatory bail for Mr Gupta.
Shootout At Wadala is being produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Films and Gupta. It releases in December this year and stars Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, John Abraham and Tusshar Kapoor.
