Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan had to skip Eid celebrations last Monday (August 20) as he was shooting for the last schedule of his next film, co-starring Katrina Kaif, in Ladakh. We got a rare glimpse of the actor in the uniform during the last leg of his shoot.
The Yash Chopra-directed film, the name of which remains a closely-guarded Yash Raj secret, stars Shah Rukh Khan as an army officer named Samar. This picture has been shared on social networking site Facebook by fans. It explains why SRK was looking more than a little scruffy when last seen at a Videocon event last week. It was a carry-over from his unshaven look from this film.
Shah Rukh Khan, who has starred in Yash Raj hits like Darr, Dil To Pagal Hai and Veer Zaara, was the one who suggested that some portions of the film be shot in Ladakh.
The film's first teaser was released on August 15 with arch-rival Salman Khan's blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger.
The film is set for a Diwali release this year and marks the return of Yash Chopra to the director's seat after a gap of seven long years. The last film he directed was Veer Zaara, starring SRK, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherji.
A R Rahman has composed the film's music and lyrics are by Gulzar. SRK's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi heroine Anushka Sharma will also be playing a key role in the film.
