Chennai: Tamil superstar Rajnikanth's next movie with ace filmmaker Shankar, widely touted as the sequel to their earlier film Enthiran, is titled 2.o.
The film, which co-stars action hero Akshay Kumar as the antagonist, is being produced by Lyca Productions, which had earlier made the AR Murugadoss-directed Kathi, starring Vijay.
"Lyca Productions' next prestigious project with the superstar is titled 2.o," a press release here said.
Amy Jackson, who had earlier featured in Shankar's I, be Rajnikanth's leading lady in the film, the shooting for which is already underway.
Interestingly, Lyca Productions, and Kathi in particular, had earlier earned the ire of pro-Tamil groups who had claimed that the production house had links with relatives of then Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Meanwhile, Lyca Productions has contributed Rs 5 crore towards Tamil Nadu government's flood relief activities, the release said.
