After the success of Veere Di Wedding, Rhea Kapoor is now planning a sequel to the film. In an interview with Variety, the producer said, “It's a work in progress, but it's happening and it's exciting. It's going to take a bit but I feel like we're getting there. It's a rediscovery of what the spirit of Veere Di Wedding was, so it's not going to be what people expect. I'm going to take my time and make it as special as I can. And, I'll do it when it's just right.”

Veere Di Wedding revolves around four friends, who are struggling with their familial and romantic relationships, all while maintaining their friendships. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film was jointly produced by Rhea, Ekta Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi. It was loosely inspired by a 2015 American movie The Wedding Ringer.
