Richa drops her Bollywood film

Tamil Nadu: Actress Richa Gangopadhyay, who had signed up for the Hindi film Shortcut Romeo, which features actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, has walked out of the project. The Mayakkam Enna-fame actress took the decision after the crew demanded more dates from her.

Shortcut Romeo is the remake of the Tamil hit Thiruttu Payale, which was directed by Susi Ganesan. The Hindi version has Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ameesha Patel in the lead roles. Richa was to play the role that Sonia Agarwal had played in the Tamil version.

"Before I signed the film, both the director and the actor were flexible with the dates and I had also informed them that I would be simultaneously doing a Telugu project. But after the agreement was signed and film confirmed, Neil Nithin Mukesh was slightly pushy about the dates and wanted me to commit for three full months for this film," says the actress.

The upset actress has even explained her situation to them. "In fact, they promised to close the shoot by February. But it's already December and the shooting is yet to start," added the actress.

However, Richa is inclined to do the movie. "I really liked the script and the photoshoot has also been done. But because of a simple logistics issue, I had to terminate the agreement. It's formally over now. Presently, I'm doing only a Telugu project," the actress informed.
