Los Angeles: Pop singer Ricky Martin hasn't read his own memoir because his revelations in the book bringback painful memories of the sexuality secret he kept hidden from fans for years.
The Livin' La Vida Loca hitmaker publicly came out as a homosexual in the early 2010 just before he released his Come To Me, in which he chronicled his struggles to come to terms with his own identity and share the truth with the world.
But although the singer's memoir was released over a year ago, Martin still hasn't revisited the book and read it fromstart to finish - because the project evokes bad memories, reported MTV online.
"I had it book open on my computer and I started reading a paragraph and had to stop. I had to stop. It reminded me ofthe place I was when I was writing it."
However, the pop star is glad he chronicled his experiences - because he knew it would help others.
"When I released the book, the people I met doing the in-store signings were like, 'Please allow me to give you ahug. You have no idea what you've done for me.' I had no idea it was going to be like that. When I started writing this bookI just wanted to let go of a lot of things I was holding within," he added.
