Los Angeles:
Her last video, the sexually explicit S&M was banned in 11 countries and now R&B hitmaker Rihanna gets assaulted and shoots a man in her latest video.
The 23-year-old is courting controversy again with the video of Man Down, which sees the red-headed singer shooting a man in the back.
The video shot in Jamaica, sees the man making his way through a busy train station when Rihanna strikes, leaving him slumped in a pool of blood.
The video then goes back in time to the previous day, when the singer is seen enjoying a carefree time in Kingston, Jamaica.
Rihanna rides her bikes, chats with friends before heading to a club and the video then sees her getting sexually assaulted outside the venue.
Rihanna is then seen hiding in the shadows with a gun in her hand as she seeks revenge on her attacker.
The popstar, a victim of domestic violence herself, tweeted to her fans about the video's meaning.
"Its Gritty, GULLY, Emotional, JAMRock, Very strong underlying message for girls like me! listen to yo mama(sic)," she tweeted.
