London:
R&B star Rihanna has taken over her existing account on Twitter from her record bosses and started tweeting herself.
The Rude Boy hitmaker already had an account registered in her name by her record label, but was not active on the micro-blogging site herself.
The 22-year-old singer was tired of seeing "corny label tweets" attributed to her, so she has taken control of the page now, reported Contactmusic.
"So now that i finally took over my Twitter page no more corny label tweets......lol! whaaasssuupppp ppl!!!!! (sic)," Rihanna posted on Friday.
And her celebrity friends are elated they can finally connect with the star online.
Singer Katy Perry wrote back to the her, "Finally! Thank God gurl. Welcome to the social networking family of TMI's, emo tweets & no she didn'ts!...(sic)"
