Los Angeles:
Singer Rihanna is reportedly set to make her acting debut with the summer release Battleship.
Directed by Peter Berg, the film is a big screen adaptation of the classic Hasbro naval combat game, and tells the story of an international fleet of ships who come across an alien armada whilst on a Naval war games exercise. The film stars Niam Leeson in the main lead and is scheduled to come out this month.
The 24-year-old singer has impressed movie producers and directors with her performance in the film and is getting lucrative offers for more big screen roles.
"Rihanna is a natural on screen. She has a number of offers for more films, including one that would see her as a James Bond type of character... only female of course," showbizspy.com quoted an insider.
"It's a huge opportunity to star in her own franchise but it all depends if Rihanna has time between her music projects," the source said.
