Rishi Kapoor was last seen on the silver screen in All Is Well
Mumbai:
The government had offered Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor the chairmanship of Central Board of Film Certification, but he declined it because he felt it was a 'thankless job', the actor claimed on Friday.
"It's true (that I was offered the job). I think it's athankless job, and I don't have the patience to watch so manyfilms," Mr Kapoor told PTI.
Asked about his opinion on the current rules andregulations of the CBFC for clearing films, Rishi Kapoor chosenot to comment about the issue.
Pahlaj Nihalani, the current chairman of CBFC, has stokedcontroversy because of his list of banned words and ordering edits in films like SPECTRE, NH10 and Badlapur.
Rishi Kapoor was last seen on the silver screen in All is Well along with Supriya Pathak, Abhishek Bachchan and Asin. He will be seen next in Karan Johar's home production Kapoor & Sons.
