Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor, who has been rather vocal about his views of late, particularly on microblogging site Twitter, has for the first time commented on his strained relationship with son, actor Ranbir Kapoor.
In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, the actor candidly spoke about his relationship with Ranbir and the void he left in the Kapoor residence after he reportedly moved-in with rumoured girlfriend, actress Katrina Kaif. He said, "He doesn't live with us anymore which is a big setback for Neetu and me."
Ranbir reportedly moved into a swanky, sea-facing apartment in Bandra with Katrina Kaif in November last year, something which doesn't seem to have gone down too well with his father.
Mr Kapoor has, however, been quite proud of his son's success in the film industry. One of his first tweets, when he debuted on Twitter five years ago in 2010, was in praise of Ranbir's performance in Rajneeti which had released the same time,.
But, it seems that Neetu and Rishi Kapoor are doing their best to make sure their empty nest doesn't remain empty for too long. Mr Kapoor revealed that the Kapoors were expanding their home and said in the same interview, "We're building a new home where there will be a lot of place for him and his family. Till then life goes on."
