London:
Robbie Williams has been "crying a lot" after learning that he is going to become a father for the first time.
The Angels singer - who is expecting his first child with wife Ayda Field - is "so pleased" about the prospect of becoming a dad alongside his former Take That bandmates Gary Barlow and Mark Owen that he has been unable to keep his emotions in check.
Robbie's dad Pete Conway told The Sun newspaper: "He says he's been crying a lot because he's so pleased. Mark's expecting and so is Gary, so there will be three little Take That babies in one go."
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old singer - who tied the knot with Ayda in August 2010 - admitted he was "overwhelmed" by the support he has received in the wake of his baby announcement, and is pleading with his fans to give him some ideas in terms of names.
Writing on his official blog, Robbie said: "Overwhelmed with all the well-wishing. Bless you all. To fill you in we don't know if it's a girl or a boy. We've no names yet either. Maybe you can give us a few ideas? Girl/boy. Go on friendlies, do your best."
The couple have previously made no secret of their desire to start a family.
Speaking last year, Robbie said: "She wants a football team. I want two. A boy and a girl.[We're going to call them] Woody and Sonny! Cool, eh? She wants to get on it now, but, I just got back off tour. There's a stretch from now until Christmas and then, we'll do some practicing."
