Robert Pattinson Faces Marketability Issues

London: Hollywood heartthrob Robert Pattinson found fame as the romantic vampire in Twilight but
bosses of his film Bel Ami are sceptical about his marketability.

The 24-year-old actor plays a corrupt journalist who manipulates his way through rich women to become one of the most powerful men in France. Pattinson finished shooting Bel Ami a year ago but the bosses want to make his character most favourable to suit his current image of a heartthrob.

The film which was shot in the UK and Budapest is ready for release but no date has been confirmed.

"We were really true to the book and because the guy is basically someone who wins everything at the end it's really difficult to market it - especially with me in it.

"Everyone's worried that everyone's going to be thinking, 'Oh I want him to be nice, he's got to be nice to all the ladies'," said the Twilight star.

The film also stars Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristen Scott Thomas, which is produced by media mogul Simon Fuller who created 'American Idol' and was the brains behind the Spice Girls.
