Twilight hunk Robert Pattinsonturned down a lucrative record deal with media mogul SimonCowell as he was convinced that no one wouldlike his music.
The 24-year-old actor, who is an avid guitar and pianoplayer and contributed two songs to the Twilight soundtrack,rejected several offers from major music companies in thepast, Contactmusic reported.
The British actor said that he wouldn't fit in thereality TV star's talent roster because Cowell only works withartists who are popular with the public.
"I love Simon, I think he is a great personality and Ithink his shows are entertaining. He is a clever guy and hecreated artists that he knows the public will like, that's whyI don't think he could ever launch my music career. I amselfish with my music. I get my guitar and I play what I like,but the problem is I don't think many other people would likeit," said the actor.
However, Pattinson is quite confident that hisself-composed music will be appreciated someday."I am sure I'll be one of those artists that peopledon't pay any attention to while I'm alive, and when I am deadpeople will go yeah, man, that was a work of art," he added.
