Tennis legend Roger Federer loves music. After Taylor Swift's Era Tour concert in Zurich, the player was spotted in Rome. Of course, he attended the British rock band Coldplay's concert. The Swiss legend was spotted with his wife and children. After spotting the 20-time Grand Slam champion, lead singer Chris Martin dedicated a sweet song to Roger Federer. Naturally, the video quickly went viral on social media. In a clip shared by a fan page on Instagram, Chris can be heard singing, “Who's that handsome guy? Roger, my beautiful brother, the greatest tennis player of all time. You were so good at sports, but who would think you would show up looking so beautiful and fine?” The caption read, “When Coldplay sings for Roger in Rome( he was in the audience) Who is that beautiful guy? The Greatest of all Times.”
In addition to Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion are also a part of Coldplay. The band was established in 1997. Last year in June, Roger Federer joined Coldplay for a song during their concert in Zurich, Switzerland. The tennis ace shared backstage photos and a performance video on Instagram. In one of the images, Roger Federer and his wife Mirka Federer are seen huddling with the band members backstage. In the caption, he wrote, "Adventure of a Lifetime."
The official page of Coldplay also uploaded a video featuring their performance with Roger Federer. In the clip, Chris Martin introduces the tennis great as their “original band member” and invites him on stage to play percussion. The side note read, "Is there anything this man can't do? Thank you for coming back to us Roger Federer.” Reacting to the post, Roger wrote, “Night to remember".
Roger Federer announced his retirement in 2022.
