Rolling Stones announce new shows to mark 50th anniversary
Members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts have confirmed months of speculation.
London: Rock band The Rolling Stones haveannounced that they are playing four gigs to celebrate their50th anniversary.

The legendary band will perform two shows here next monthand a further double in New York in December. Members MickJagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts haveconfirmed months of speculation, reported Sun online.

"London is super appropriate. It's a full circle becausewe started out in London and that's our home town.

"I think the Rolling Stones are kind of quite irreverentabout (our anniversary) in a way. I don't think we take itvery seriously and we joke about it really. It doesn't exactlyfeel like your golden wedding," Jagger said.

The band has been busy in Paris rehearsing around 60songs from their back catalogue.They have also been in touch with former bass player BillWyman, who left the band in 1992, to discuss him joining themonstage for several numbers.
