New Delhi:
US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama need not bring out their wedding finery yet as there's been no royal invite forthcoming from Buckingham Palace to the Will-Kate wedding.
Some well placed sources reveal that since William is not yet heir to the throne, the ceremony will not be classified as "state occasion" therefore ridding the couple of any diplomatic obligations towards the Obamas.
The soon-to-be newlyweds, both 28, want to tie the knot with charity workers and members of the public in attendance, rather than the obligatory dignitaries. However, rumour has it that Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni will probably be asked to hop across the English Channel.
As for the Obamas, there's still a slim chance they they might make it to the as-of-yet incomplete guest list. If not, this will be a snub heard loud and clear the world over, as Will and Kate will get hitched in what's shaping up to be the most watched affair since the Charles-Diana wedding.
