The South Asian Film Festival (SAFF)will pay tribute to legendary Bollywood actor Shammi Kapoor,who passed away recently in Mumbai.
SAFF Secretary General Rahul Barua said that thefestival will hold a special screening of the actor's hit filmBrahmachari.
The three-day-long event, annually held in Goa, isscheduled from September 15 to 18.
The organisers have also planned to screen ShammiKapoor's film Kashmir Ki Kali (1964), Barua said, addingthat around 50 films from South Asian nations would bescreened during the festival.
There will be a separate segment for the films fromBhutan, he added.
"Bhutan is the Focus Country of SAFF-2011," Barua saidadding that Bhutanese Film Industry and members of the MotionPictures Association of Bhutan (MPAB) will represent itsindustry during the event.
The organisers said veteran film personalities likeSubhash Ghai, Randhir Kapoor, Mahesh Bhatt and Sharmila Tagorewill conduct workshops on various aspects of filmmaking duringthe festival.
