One of the most important lessons one needs to learn in life is to never repeat mistakes. And actor Saif Ali Khan seems to be taking this nugget of wisdom very seriously, lately. After his stint in the Sajid Khan-directed debacle Humshakals, Saif has gone back to a genre that has done him well in the past: dark humour.
Set to play the anti-hero in the movie called Mr Chaalu, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, the film will be directed by Reema Kagti. The film will be shot across Goa and Mumbai and Saif will be seen playing the role of a charming manipulative womaniser with shades of grey.
Having played a character on the lines of this role in Urmila Matondkar starrer Ek Hasna Thi in 2004, directed by Ram Gopal Verma, Mr Chaalu may not be such a challenge for him after all.
He will be sharing screen space with actor Kangana Ranaut for the first time. Set to go on floor in January 2015, the film is slated to release by mid-2016.
