Saif Ali Khan Reveals That He Would Like To Be Cast In Mahabharata If Someone Makes It

The actor will be playing the role of Lankesh in Adipurush

Saif Ali Khan, who is all set to play the role of Lankesh (Ravan) in Om Raut's film Adipurush, recently revealed that he would want to be cast in the epic Mahabharata if someone made it like The Lord of the Rings. The actor even revealed that he is been in talks with his Kachche Dhaage and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior co-star Ajay Devgn for such a film. In a recent interview with the Bollywood Bubble, Saif said, "What I'd like to play is act in the Mahabharata if someone makes it like Lord of the Rings. We've been talking about it with Ajay Devgn since Kachche Dhaage. I think in our generation it's the dream subject. Everybody wants to do that. We will get the Bombay film industry together with the South or whatever if that's even possible and just make this grand movie."

Saif Ali Khan's film Vikram Vedha, co-starring Hrithik Roshan, recently released in the theaters. The film released on September 30, opened to positive reviews. Saif plays the role of a cop in the film, while Hrithik Roshan plays the gangster. The film directed by filmmaker duo - Pushkar and Gayatri - also stars Radhika Apte, Rohit Saraf and Yogita Bihani in pivotal roles.

The film is the official Hindi remake of the 2017 Tamil film of the same name, starring R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. The original film was also directed by Pushkar and Gayatri.

Saif Ali Khan will soon be seen in Om Raut's Adipurush, which is all set to hit the theaters on January 12 next year. The film also stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh in the lead roles. Inspired by the epic Ramayana, the teaser of the film was recently released in Ayodhya.
