Sajid Khan already planned a Housefull 3
Mumbai: Housefull 2 is yet to release butdirector Sajid Khan has already planned a third film in theseries.

Housefull 2 is a sequel to his 2010 hit comic caper. The sequel features actors from the original film, like AkshayKumar and Riteish Deshmukh, along with new additions JohnAbraham, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zarine Khan, ShazahnPadamsee and Shreyas Talpade.

"April is the month when exams get over and it is thebeginning of summer vacation. Housefull is a summerblockbuster, I don't see it releasing in November or Decemberor January or July. I would associate Housefull with themonth of April," he said.

"Every alternate April we will come up with a Housefullfranchise film. I think Housefull 3 will come in April 2014,"Sajid said.

Talking about the current offering, Sajid said:"Housefull 2 has nothing to do with Housefull 1. Even ifyou think of calling it Dirty Dozen, it would still work atthe box office. Sajid Nadiadwala and me both thought ofcalling it Housefull 2, to just make it a brand franchise,as everything again happens in house," Sajid said.

"Technically it is not a sequel, as a sequel means Part 2continues from where Part 1 was left. It is like Bond film, where the first film has nothing to do with the second orthird film in the series," he said.

The film also stars veteran actors such as MithunChakraborty, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Boman Irani insupporting roles.

The film is up for release on April 6, and Sajid isconfident that it would be a hit.

"I am sure the film will be hit. I have never made filmsto gain money or adulation or appreciation. I want to makefilms that I can sit and enjoy with the audience, and the kindof films that I enjoy are those that work at the box office,"Sajid said.

"I would not like to make films that would bore people, give message or change society. I applaud those films but I amnot a fan of these films. I like entertainment and it does notnecessarily mean comedy. I loved 'Kahaani', it is not acomedy. Entertainment can be in any form be it murder mysteryor comedy or drama or action or romantic film."
