New Delhi:
Actress Sakshi Tanwar, who gained popularity after starring as Parvati in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, says that at this point of time, she is not ready to commit to a daily show, reports news agency IANS. The 44-year-old actress is currently hosting a cookery show and was also part of a web series. "I have done the fiction genre for a good 15-16 years. The kind of commitment a daily show requires is something I am not ready for at this point of time, especially with the subjects that are being offered to me. I am happier doing finite series like 24 or a cookery show," Sakshi told IANS.
Sakshi Tanwar made her debut in 2000 with Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. The show aired for eight years and after a few years, she headlined Ekta Kapoor's Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, opposite Ram Kapoor. "I did Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, which lasted for eight years, and then I did Bade Achche Lagte Hain, which lasted three-and-a-half years. So, that does not leave you time to do other stuff. I think I am happier doing smaller series."
Last year, Sakshi featured in Aamir Khan's blockbuster Dangal and played the actor's wife. Of doing Hindi films, Sakshi told IANS, "There are a lot of good offers. I am happy that so many subjects are being taken up for web series and short films. Whenever time allows, and if something really excites me and challenges me as an actor, I will take it up."
She is now prepping for the second season of Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat (the web series), which reunites her and Ram Kapoor for the third time.
