Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has sought the help of the Mumbai police to probe who is behind a fake message in his name about his forthcoming movie Bajrangi Bhaijan, which doing the rounds on social media and WhatsApp groups, police said.
"A complaint has been registered with the Cyber Cell by his aide on the messages being circulated on various social media. We are looking into it before deciding further," Mumbai police spokesperson Deputy Commissioner of Police Dhananjay Kulkarni told IANS.
The purported social media messages along with a morphed picture of the actor claims that Bajrangi Bhaijan would prove to be a hit even without his Muslim fan base.
Salman's aides have rubbished the messages and lodged the police complaint. Even in the past, the actor has been targeted by social media messages and he had approached police.
