Mark your calendars. Yash Raj Films has just posted the release dates of some of the most-awaited films. This year will end with a bang, as director Ali Abbas Zafar earlier said, courtesy his upcoming film Tiger Zinda Hai, featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. It was earlier reported that Tiger Zinda Hai, Salman's second film of the year, opens this Christmas but a release date has now been announced. It releases on December 22. (Yay). 2018 is expected to end with a bang too (we hope so), as Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif's (yes, her other major release) Thugs Of Hindostan, is scheduled to arrive in theatres on November 7, 2018.
Here's a detailed list of some of the upcoming releases.
Tiger Zinda Hai - December 22
Salman and Katrina Tiger Zinda Hai is the sequel to their 2012 blockbuster film Ek Tha Tiger, directed by Kabir Khan. Both the stars will reprise the roles they played - a RAW official Tiger and Pakistani secret agent Zoya - respectively. Salman and Katrina have already shot Tiger Zinda Hai in Austria, Abu Dhabi and Morocco.
Hichki - February 23
Next up is Rani Mukerji's Hichki. It will be Rani's comeback film. She last featured in 2014's Mardaani, in which she played a tough cop. Hichki went on floors in April this year. Of the film, Rani earlier said, "Each of us has a weakness that pulls us back. It could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won't come in the way of achieving our dreams. The film is built on this positive premise and I decided to take it up."
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar - August 3
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar will reunite Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor for the second time on screen. The film is about a man and a woman who represent two completely different sides of India - and they are united in their mistrust, suspicion and hate for each other. Parineeti and Arjun are co-stars of Ishaqzaade.
Sui Dhaaga - Made In India - September 28
Sui Dhaaga - Made In India will be Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma's first film together. Of the project, Anushka earlier said, "I always get excited with unique ideas that have human interest stories. Sui Dhaaga is a story of self-reliance that I believe will connect to the grassroots level with every Indian. And am really looking forward to work with Varun Dhawan and the team of Maneesh Sharma and Sharat Katariya," said the actress. Sui Dhaaga will be produced by Maneesh Sharma, who has directed Anushka in Band Baaja BaaraatThe shooting will begin in January.
Thugs Of Hindostan - November 7
Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh's Thugs Of Hindostan is one of the most-awaited films. The shooting began in Malta, a couple of months ago. This will be Big and Aamir's first film together while the Dangal actor has previously worked with both Katrina and Fatima. Thugs Of Hindostan is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya.
