Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who found himself in the midst of acontroversy over his reported remarks on 26/11 attacks is contemplatingto go off Twitter.
"Looks like I mite hv to get off Twitter. Don't want to.. but watto do? I think I messed up, so sorry guys. Sorry bolne mein koi sharamnahi..(I am not ashamed of saying Sorry)," the 44-year-old star tweeted.
"Hurt v hurt.. yeh kya ? straight thru my heart... My mum n dad, mybros, my sisters... family had to go thru torture on Eid n GaneshUtsav," he lamented.
Salman, who joined the microblogging site earlier this year, hasgot over four lakh followers. The actor came under fire for claimingduring an interview to a Pakistani channel that the 26/11 terrorattacks were hyped because the "elite" were targetted.
Salman, however, apologised saying he did not mean to hurtanyone's sentiments after the remarks invited much criticism fromDeputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, Shiv Sena, BJP and otherpolitical parties.
The Dabaang star also claimed that his comments were "twisted"by channel Express 24x7. Meanwhile, some actors came out in support ofSalman.
Sonam Kapoor who made her debut with Salman in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya said the actor cannot be accused of insensitivity and he was a real life hero.
In a message sent to Salman on Twitter, the 25-year-old actresswrote, "Don't worry people like pulling you down because they arejealous. Totally with you. Lots of love."
Anupam Kher wrote, "Met Salman and wished him for the stupendoussuccess of Dabangg. Don't think he meant what is being implied :)".
