Mumbai:
Much more is now coming to light on the reported spat between Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt at Maanyata Dutt's birthday party on Thursday. Reportedly, the spat threatened to end the duo's recent collaboration as co-hosts of the new season of TV reality show, Bigg Boss.
Apparently Salman expressed his disappointment at Sanjay's refusal to play his father in Bodyguard, at Maanyata Dutt's birthday party. Salman, a source says, was also curt to Maanyata.
"Sallu told her that he won't address her as bhabhi, but by her name," says the source, adding that Sanju got angry with the way Salman was talking to his wife.
Further, Salman was also rude to Sanjay's brother-in-law, Kumar Gaurav. Our source recalls, "Salman told Kumar Gaurav that he had launched new girls into stardom. So he could even give a hit debut to his daughter Saachi. Before things got real ugly, Prashant and Rohit Jugraj escorted him out."
Just last week best buds Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan were confirmed as co-hosts for the next season of Bigg Boss. Each appearance of the stars on the show will reportedly cost a whopping 7-9 crore approximately. But many would say that's a small price to pay for stars like Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, known for their off-screen tantrums and likely to produce hi-drama (and loads of entertainment) on the sets as well.
After Thursday's spat, apparently Sanjay Dutt wanted to opt out of hosting Bigg Boss with Salman. Later, on Friday, when Salman heard about it, he called Sanjay to apologise.
"Even though the deal was signed, it took a lot for Sanjay to not walk out of the show. Moreover it was Salman who had suggested that he and Sanju host the show together," informs our source.
According to a unit member from the promo shoot at Film City, the atmosphere was tense till afternoon. "However, when Sanju gave Salman a hug, everyone in the unit heaved a sigh of relief." "Sanju is keeping his calm only for the sake of the show," says the source.
Knowing how volatile both actors can be, everyone connected with Bigg Boss, including fans of the show, are sure to keep their fingers crossed! (With inputs from Mid-day)
