Los Angeles:
After gaining recognition in Hollywood with blockbuster Avatar, Sam Worthington wants to take a break from acting, saying "it is time to enjoy the fruits of my labour".
The 35-year-old actor, who played the role of Marcus Wright in Terminator Salvation and the lead character Jake Sully in James Cameron's Avatar, said that filming nearly 10 films in the span of four years has been rewarding but exhausting, reported Us magazine.
"I haven't taken a break in four years. It's been a nomadic existence. Now it's time to enjoy the fruits of my labour for a little bit - but I don't think I'll be gone for long," said Worthington.
Currently promoting his upcoming thriller The Debt, Worthington said, "It took loads of hard work to reach this point in my career. It wasn't as if I woke up one day and was doing movies."
Worthington insisted that his career goals became clear after Cameron hired him for the 2009 sci-fi film."It didn't matter if I'd been drinking all night; I'd still be there at 6 am. But that doesn't work now, and itcertainly didn't work on Avatar," he said.
