New Delhi:
Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaityana met on the sets of 2010 film Ye Maaya Chesave and fell in love, and now they are getting married. Aww. The much talked about big fat wedding will be in two parts and is scheduled for October 6 and October 8, both in Goa. Naga Chaitanya's father Telugu superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni told Deccan Chronicle that the big day is much awaited and that his son's wedding is special because "they are getting married according to both Hindu and Christian customs." In his interview, Nagarjuna added that the guest list will have some 100 names comprising close friends and family: "With Rama Naidu garu's and our family, it's hardly 100 members. It's not a lavish wedding, it is the most simple one." Naga Chaitanya is the younger son of Nagarjuna and his ex-wife Lakshmi Rama Naidu Daggubati.
However, Times Of India reports that the much anticipated destination wedding in Goa is being organised with a budget of Rs 10 crores! Woah.
The wedding may be a close-knit affair but a lavish reception, with Hyderabad as the venue, is on the cards for Samantha and Naga Chaitanya's acquaintances. "I am planning a reception in Hyderabad and the date isn't final yet. Both Chaitanya and Samantha are busy shooting after their marriage, so I will decide the date later."
The couple will reportedly take a three-day break before resuming their work schedules. "We will fly out of the country for Christmas and New Year's Eve. We don't have the time now," Samantha had told Mumbai Mirror.
Ahead of the wedding, Samantha is prepping for her bridal look with complete attention to detail. For the Hindu shaadi, Samantha will wear a saree belonging to Naga Chaitanya's grandmother. "I wanted the outfit to be an ode to her. It will be worn with gold ornaments, including a custom-made waistband and armbands," she told Mumbai Mirror.
Her outfit for the Christian wedding will be designed by Kresha Bajaj, who also designed Samantha's engagement ensemble. Kresha Bajaj is best-known for her 'Love Story' collection of bridal wear under the brand Koecsh.
Ye Maaya Chesave marked Samantha and Naga Chaitanya's first movie together. They have also co-starred in Thrayam, Manam and Autonagar Suriya, all of which released in 2014. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya got engaged in a beautiful ceremony in January this year.
