Actress-entrepreneur Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who has been impressing fans across the country with her acting skills, turned a year older on Thursday (April 28). And, to make her birthday special, Samantha's co-star Vijay Deverakonda banded with the team of their upcoming film and surprised her. The actors and the crew are currently in Kashmir shooting and decided to ring in the star's 35th birthday in the middle of work with a “fake scene”. A video, documenting the entire surprise, was shared online by Vijay Deverakonda. The clip begins with a message that reads, “At 12 am, it was going to be Sam's birthday. A surprise was planned. A fake scene was written. One fake rehearsal. Sam believed everything…”
Next up we see Samantha Ruth Prabhu delivering an emotional dialogue to Vijay Deverakonda. At the end of her lines, Vijay, however, turns to the actress and calls her by her name. This leaves Samantha baffled, and she even proceeds to laugh and asks him what happened. Vijay then says, “Happy birthday” as the rest of the crew erupts in cheers.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu is shown to be taken aback by the surprise and laughs out loud. She then cuts a cake with the cast and crew of the film.
Sharing the same video, Samantha Ruth Prabhu said, “The sweetest surprise. It was freezing and we had a lot of work to do. But that didn't stop these scamsters from pulling off this elaborate surprise. Thank you.”
Replying to the video, Raashii Khanna said, “So cute,” with a heart emoji.
Vijay Deverakonda who first shared the video, wrote in the caption, “Happy Birthday Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Wishing you full happiness…Let's make a love story now. Love and hugs, Vijay.”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda's upcoming film, tentatively titled VD11, is a romance helmed by Shiva Nirvana. It will be their second film together after Mahanati. The film is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravishankar Yalamanchili.
In addition to this, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will also be seen in Shakuntalam and Yashoda. Vijay Deverakonda, meanwhile, will be seen in Liger.
