Makers of Ghanchakkar, which has Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi playing the lead, have cancelled Sanjay Dutt's special appearance in the movie.
Mumbai:
The Supreme Court's recent verdict that went against Sanjay Dutt has now adversely affected the fate of one of his upcoming films.
The makers of Ghanchakkar, who had planned to cast the actor in a cameo, have been apparently been forced to call it off, given the current circumstances around Sanjay Dutt's imminent surrender.
A source said, "Sanjay has been running against time to complete all his pending projects. He had a cameo in Vidya Balan's next where he was supposed to play himself. The actor had agreed to do the role at his Lage Raho Munnabhai co-star's insistence."
Another source added, "The role was perfect for Sanju baba as he had to just play himself. So no one else can replace him. It's just a cameo while there are other semi-completed projects awaiting his return."
