Dane Witherspoon, who co-starredwith his former wife Robin Wright in the hit soap opera SantaBarbara, died at the age of 56.
The actor died on March 29. The cause of death has notbeen released yet, reported People magazine.
His Santa Barbara co-star A Martinez announced hisdeath in a message posted on his Facebook page.
"Dane passed this morning. People who watched SantaBarbara in its earliest days will remember him as Joe Perkins,a character to which he brought a quiet grace and deep,bittersweet sense of soul," Martinez wrote.
Wright, who was married to Witherspoon from 1986 untiltheir divorce two years later, is now engaged to Ben Foster.
