'Sex and the City' star Sarah Jessica Parker has reportedly stepped down from her role as president of the Halston fashion label.
Parker, 46, who served as the president of the iconic label until recently, however has not made any formal announcement about the split that took place, reported Femalefirst.
A line in the interview published in one of the fashion and lifestyle magazines reads, "When 'Sex and the City', to her own surprise, made her a fashion star, she launched her own design label and perfumes, as well assigning on to run the Halston Heritage label, a relationship that recently came to an end."
Last November it was reported that Parker was not pleased with the CEO of Halston, Bonnie Takhar, who had been forced to step down.
"Sarah has been a strong supporter of Bonnie for a very long time, and has been the sole voice supporting her against the board and shareholders. She has been fighting this for a very long time. She believed in Bonnie. She was emotional and upset because this finally came to a head," a source said.
