The 46-year-old Republican's show Sarah Palin'sAlaska, which has courted much controversy in recent months,had its season one finale on January 9, reported EntertainmentWeekly.
In the concluding episode, Palin went panning for goldwith her father and youngest daughter Piper. Despite Piperwanting to sell her gold online, she eventually used her oneand a half ounces to form an anniversary piece of jewelleryfor her grandmother.
The show premiered back on November 14, 2010 to ahealthy five million viewers, and Palin stated that thepurpose of the program was to bring "the wonder and majesty ofAlaska to all Americans".
Despite the show's popularity, producer Mark Burnetthas confirmed there are no plans to return for a secondseason, and it looks likely that Palin is keeping her diaryempty for a possible presidential run.
