Mumbai: Actor Randeep Hooda, who plays the titular role in the biopic Sarbjit, has finally shaved off the moustache that he had grown to play the slain Indian prisoner.
The actor shaved his moustache in a video, bidding 'goodbye' to his character in the chaste Punjabi dialect that he has adopted for his role in the film.
In the video, Randeep uses a trimmer to shave off the beard he had maintained for the movie, which he began shooting in October. For the role, he had lost oodles of weight, leaving director Omung Kumar mighty impressed.Sarbjit also co-stars Aishwarya as Randeep's sister. Richa Chadha plays his wife. The film releases on May 20.
