Sashaa Agha makes her debut in the film Aurangzeb

Pakistani singer-actor Salma Agha'sdaughter Sashaa, who is all set to make her debut inBollywood with Yash Raj Films' Aurangzeb is looking to makea career in both acting and singing.
"I have learnt singing from my mom and I don't plan togive it up because I am very passionate about it. I want tomake a career in acting and singing simultaneously," Sashaasaid here.
Music runs in her family and music composer duoSajid-Wajid are her maternal uncles. Also, famous Englishsinger-songwriter Natasha Khan is her stepsister.
"My great grand father was Jugal Kishore Mehra, who wasRaj Kapoor's uncle and married to famous singer Anwari Begum.My grandmother Nusrin Agha was a well-known singer as well. Soin a way, I am the fourth generation singer in my family," shesaid.
Sashaa's mother Salma Agha is best remembered for heraward winning song Dil Ke Armaan from B R Chopra's movieNikaah.
While for Aurangzeb producer Aditya Chopra got Sashaa,who is a trained singer from the Kirana Gharana, to sing apeppy number titled Barbaadiyaan. He roped her in only afterhe heard her voice during the audition.
The song Barbaadiyaan is a club track filmed on Sashaaand Arjun Kapoor, who plays the male lead.
"She has sung this beautiful track for the film. Her voiceis melodious," a spokesperson from Yash Raj Films said.
Directed by debutant Atul Sabharwal, Aurangzeb featuresArjun Kapoor, Sashaa Agha, Jackie Shroff, Amrita Singh andRishi Kapoor. The film releases on May 17.
