New Delhi: Popular Marathi actor Satish Tare died in Mumbai on Wednesday (July 3, 2013). He was 48.
Mr Tare reportedly had a severly damaged liver and died at the Sujay Hospital in Mumbai.
"He was hospitalised on July 1 and he passed away on July 3 at 12 pm," said a source from the hospital.
Mr Tare appeared mainly in comic roles and was active in TV and on stage.
The actor-writer-singer-director appeared in Marathi movies such as Navra Maza Navsacha and Nana Mama. He also had roles in a few Hindi movies like Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local co-starring Abhay Deol and Neha Dhupia.
Mr Tare's last screen appearance was in the Riteish Deshmukh-produced Balak Palak.
