John Abraham's action-thriller Satyameva Jayte has managed to collect over Rs 57.50 crore within a week of its release, reports Box Office India. According to the report, the film has acquired a "hit" status. "Satyameva Jayate is a hit as it went up a little on Tuesday to 3.75 crore net and took it's a total to around 57.50 crore net," stated Box Office India. The film collected over Rs 3.75 crore on Tuesday and according to the report, it is likely to experience an upward trend on Wednesday. "There is the holiday for Bakra Eid to come which should give it another boost," stated Box Office India.
The film had a smooth starts at the box office as it collected Rs 20.52 crore on its opening day. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh had described the film's performance as "rocking." Mr Adarsh tweeted: "Satyameva Jayate springs a big surprise... Multiplexes are good, but single screens are rocking ... Wed 20.52 cr. India biz."

Satyameva Jayate might have opened to negative reviews but the film has managed to perform well at the box office. The film is the fifth biggest opener of 2018. The top five biggest openers list is headed by Sanjay Dutt's biopic Sanju, followed by Salman Khan's Race 3, Akshay Kumar's Gold (which also opened in theaters on Independence Day) and Baaghi 2.

In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave the film one pout of five stars and wrote: "Satyameva Jayate at its worst, it is a product of a tendentious mind. It is nonsensical, with nary a nod to logic."
Satyameva Jayate showcases the journey of a vigilante (played by John Abraham) and his fight against corruption. The film has been directed by Milap Zaveri and it also features Manoj Bajpayee , Aisha Sharma and Amruta Khanvilkar.
