ScarlettJohansson is campaigning against the US government's decisionto eliminate $300 million of federal funding for women'shealth care centers.
The 26-year-old actress has teamed up with theorganisation Planned Parenthood to film a new public serviceadvertisement urging women to sign a petition opposing the newlegislation, reported Us magazine online.
"The House passed a bill to eliminate our country'sfamily planning program and to stop Planned Parenthood healthcentres from receiving any federal money to providelife-saving preventative care," the 'Iron Man' 2 star says inthe advertisement.
"That means no money for cervical cancer screeningsand breast exams. No money for testing and treatment of STDs,not even testing for HIV. No money for birth control," addedthe actress.
Johansson, who is now dating actor Sean Penn, 50,after separating from The Proposal star Ryan Reynolds lastyear, called the government's plan "disastrous."
