Actress Scarlett Johansson is set to play the female lead in a TV show, an adaptation of Edith Wharton's novel The Custom Of The Country.
According to a report in Deadline, Johansson is also coming on board as the executive producer of the eight-episode period story based on the 1913 novel, reports dailymail.co.uk.
The 29-year-old star will be seen playing a midwestern girl, Undine Spragg, looking to rise to ranks in the New York high society, in the early part of the 20th century in the said series.
