London: Teen pop star and actress Selena Gomez is looking forward to vote for the very first time in the 2012 US presidential election.
The Disney star, who will turn 19 next month, is eager to see which topics the new batch of presidential candidates will tackle as they campaign for the top job at the White House, Contactmusic reported.
"This is my first time I would be (voting). I did a campaign when I was 16, I wanted to encourage kids my age, because we're the next generation coming up, to vote. I think it would be really fun for me to be involved with my family and to have a say. It's nice," said Gomez.
The 'Wizards of Waverly Place' star is particularly interested in issues regarding education and global warming and admitted she will be more concerned about politicians' solutions for existing problems on home turf, as opposed to international policies.
"I think we do a lot to help other countries, but sometimes I feel like we don't really help a lot here, our country, so that would probably be something that would catch my eye,"said Gomez.
