Teen star Selena Gomez hasdismissed rumours about being a part of Sex and the Cityprequel.
According to reports, the 18-year-old was likely toportray the character of a young Charlotte York, the rolemade famous by Kristin Davis.
But Gomez says she is not joining the franchise as theteen version of York, reported Daily Star online.
"That was a compliment and I was very surprised when Iheard that - it was very sweet, but there is nothing officialand I've never even been approached or anything," said Gomez.
The songstress also said that she is not a Sex andthe City fan because she was too young to watch it when itfirst hit TV screens.
"My mum is more of a fan because I wasn't reallyallowed to watch it when I was younger," added Gomez.
The series has spawned two movies and producers arerumoured to be working on ideas for a big-screen prequel,showing the characters in their youth.
