Singer Selena Gomez will play a rock 'n' roll chick in a new independent film.
The 20-year-old singer-and-actress will play the love interest of Nat Wolff in Parental Guidance Suggested, which is based on Ric Browde's 2000 novel While I'm Dead ... Feed the Dog, reported Ace Showbiz.
Tim Garrick has penned the script for the film and will also direct. Dylan McDermott and Cary Elwes are also set to star in the motion picture, which is due to be shot in Los Angeles.
Selena Gomez's will also be seen alongside Vanessa Hudgens in upcoming film Spring Breakers.
