A bandh called by the Shiv Sena to protest against the inclusion of two Pakistani contestants in the hit reality TV show Bigg Boss 4, has begun in Lonavala hill station where the show set is located.
Sena spokesperson Neelam Gorhe said despite demands by the party, the channel Colors did not remove the two Pakistani participants - Veena Malik and Begum Nawazish Ali - from the show.
"Pune District Collector has also served a show cause notice to Colors, asking why the show should not be stopped as it was creating law and order issues at Lonavala," she said.
Sena workers will demonstrate at Lonavala today and hold a procession to demand removal of Pakistani actors from the show, she said.
Malik is a Pakistani model and former girlfriend of cricketer Mohammed Asif, and Begum Nawazish Ali is a crossdressing host of a popular chat show in Pakistan.
