Bollywood playback singer Shaanwill perform with renowned sitarist Purbayan Chatterjee at aconcert Shaan-e-Shaam later this week in their first musicalfusion.
"For 20 minutes we will be presenting on stage thetracks from our first collaborative album, which will bebrought out by the end of this year. The album will bringtogether classical strands which will be released in Octoberthis year.
"There could be impromptu jamming during the show as ithappens in a live show depending on the situation," Purbayan said.
Shaan, 39, one of the most popular singers of thecountry today, would also be belting out his own popular andfavourite numbers along with a tribute to late DevAnand and Shammi Kapoor.
"It is perhaps the aesthetic connect between us thatmight have brought us together. So far my performance isconcerned it would have raga elements, retaining theunderstated classical flavour for my own brand of audience,"Purbayan, who gave his first sensational performance at theage of just five years, said.
