Mumbai:
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is happy that people liked his new film Dilwale.
Some critics have panned the film while some others have given average ratings.
"Popular films usually have this logic. They are a popular blockbuster, in your face. It's a masala film. There are a lot of elements, which are beyond critical and artistic acclaim. But according to me, such films should be liked by the audience. I'm happy that the critics have liked it and disliked it, though I don't read it," said Shah Rukh.
"But beyond that, the film which we want to make is for a target - the audience. As long as they like it, I'm very happy. But all the views and all the reviews, God bless them all. I don't read them," added Shah Rukh.
Shah Rukh also said that Dilwale has been made for families.
"There is a feeling of delight. We want it to do better so that families come to the theatres without any hesitation. In some places, there were situations where all families couldn't venture out. But we have made the film for families and I am hoping that the situation improves and everybody comes to watch the film," added Shah Rukh.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, Dilwale, which also features Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, released on December 18. (Also Read: Dilwale vs Bajirao Mastani: Even Super-Films Get the Monday Blues)
