Superstar Shah Rukh Khan andDeepika Padukone have come together for a special song thatpays tribute to Tamil cinema icon Rajinikanth.
Titled Thalaivar Tribute (Lungi Dance), the song issung and composed by rapper Honey Singh and is not a part ofShah Rukh starrer Chennai Express, which will hit theatreson August 9.
Shah Rukh, 47, who is busy with his upcomingfilm Chennai Express, said he could not say no to the songbecause he is a huge fan of the "global cultural iconRajinikanth".
"Who isn't a fan of 'The Rajinikanth'? I had met HoneySingh and Bhushan Kumar five days back and he made me hear thesong, which is titled Thalaivar Tribute (Lungi Dance).
"I found it very apt for Rajini sir and wanted to be apart of it as a fan of one of the greatest actors we have.Deepika, on my request, happily agreed to be a part of thesong because even she is a huge fan of Rajini sir. The song isfun, happy and completely Rajinikanth Style!," Shah Rukh said.
The song is being choreographed by NationalAward-winning choreographer Chinni Prakash and will releasesoon.
