New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan has been discharged from Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital. The Bollywood megastar underwent a three-hour surgery on his right shoulder yesterday.

"I thank all my fans, will recover soon and entertain again," said King Khan after being discharged from hospital.

Shah Rukh's son Aryan flew down from London to be with his father.

"It went off very well and his family is with him," a source close to the family told IANS on Tuesday. Writer Mushtaq Sheikh, a close friend of SRK, too updated fans about the surgery on Twitter. "Good news for everyone who is asking and sending in prayers and wishes for SRK. His surgery has been successfully completed," he tweeted.

The surgery was due for quite some time. Shah Rukh Khan had reportedly injured himself during Ra.One but postponed his surgery since he was busy shooting for Chennai Express.

A family source revealed that while shooting for Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express, the 47-year-old often got pain in his shoulder, but he refused to use body doubles for the movie.
