Shah Rukh Khan has worked for the first time with action-comedy director Rohit Shetty
Mumbai:
Actor Shah Rukh Khan's romantic roles may have made him quite popular among his female fans, but it seems Rohit Shetty, director of his latest film Chennai Express, is giving him tough competiton when it comes to wooing girls.
"This is for the first time I am working with a director where they find him (the director) more attractive than me. Girls find Rohit more attractive than me. Next time if I am working with him, I will have to probably cover up his face," said Shah Rukh in his witty style.
Last seen in love saga Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Shah Rukh says it's easier to do action in Shetty's film than love songs in any other movie.
Praising the team, he said they "take care of action scene so well that it is so safe, harmless and gentle".
"It's easier to do action in Rohit's film than doing a love song in any other film. I can actually think I can be an action hero, but only in his films," he added.
Shetty's vision is wonderful, says SRK who has teamed up with him for the first time.
"I think most important is his vision. He writes the film with different vision and that's the hallmark of Rohit. His work speaks volumes. He has a fantastic team," said the Bollywood Baadshah.
Initially, the release date of Chennai Express clashed with Akshay Kumar's much-awaited underworld drama Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara - both were scheduled to come out on August 8.
But Balaji Motion Pictures agreed to shift the release date of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara to August 15 after a meeting between the Balaji head honchos, UTV bosses, SRK and Shetty.
Shah Rukh is thankful to Jeetendra, chairman of Balaji Motion Pictures, for being so understanding.
"I am really grateful to Jeetuji, who understood the thing. I think everybody should follow this. I am very thankful to him and wish the team of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara all the best," said SRK.
