Actor Shah Rukh Khan's relations with filmmaker Karan Johar have reportedly turned sour as neither is seen interacting with the other of late. Shah Rukh Khan, who is gearing up for the release of his next film Happy New Year says that his alleged absence from Karan life is because he doesn't get time to spend with him. Shah Rukh has several friends in the film industry, but he says he doesn't get ample time to spend with them.
"I'm working at most times. You get to make friends during the time you are working. I have not worked with Karan (Johar) for the last two years, so I have not spent time with him. With Farah, I'm working from the last one and a half years, but before that, for two years, I didn't spend time with her."
Shah Rukh and Karan last worked together in 2012 film My Name Is Khan, which was a huge hit like their other projects such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, among others. However the filmmaker-actor jodi has been absent from the face of showbiz for quite some time.
It is not just Shah Rukh's absence from Karan's project that has fuelled the speculations of a rift. Shah Rukh Khan has been absent from the last season of Karan Johar's TV show Koffee With Karan. In fact Shah Rukh's spot as the season debut guest was filled by none other than his frenemy actor Salman Khan.
Meanwhile, the fact that Shah Rukh was not spotted at any of Karan's party and vice versa for almost two year intensified the rumours. Further, Salman's growing bond with the filmmaker, who will now appear in his ambitious project Shuddhi indicated the rift in SRK-KJo camp.
