Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, in Kolkata to promote to his film Happy New Year, made a stopover at the office of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today evening. The actor, who is also the brand ambbassador for Bengal, was accompanied by his Happy New Year director Farah Khan and co-stars Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah.
Ms Banerjee, who had refused to allow the media when she met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval earlier, made an exception for King Khan whose camaraderie with the West Bengal Chief Minister is well-known.
SRK, Farah and Sonu Sood hit it off pretty well with the West Bengal Chief Minister and were photographed clicking pictures with her.
Shortly after his meeting with Ms Banerjee, SRK wrote on Twitter
In Kolkata I always get so enthused about life when I meet MamataDi. Her energy and the fish I get to eat. Now to Xaviers in a bit.
